“The pages are still blank, but there is a miraculous feeling of words being there, written in invisible ink and clamoring to become visible.”
The Writer’s Hangout is a six-week writing intensive for aspiring and established authors to work on mastering their craft. The Writer’s Hangout meets virtually, once a week, to discuss assignments specially created to suit the needs of the participants.
Throughout the six weeks, authors have the chance to network with other writers, while also having an open-ended conversation about writing with like-minded individuals. Writers will be able to give and receive feedback on their writing, and practice strategies for everything ranging from character development, to setting, to tone and voice, and also, dialogue, free writing, and self-editing, and even tips on how to market and publish.
Each session is tailored to fit the needs of the participating writers, so no two sessions are exactly the same.
Limited space will be offered in each class to allow for optimal attention to each participant.
A discounted pre-registration price is given until 30 days prior to the start of the session. Flexible payment plans are available, and the final balance is not due until the first day of the session.

What previous participants are saying:
“One of the reasons I loved this course was being able to bounce ideas and scenes off the other authors in the class. This course was helpful in that it taught me to look for clutch words in my writing, as well as the over use of adverbs.” –A.J. Pryor (Author, Right Next Door)
“Loved this course! I learned some great techniques and loved getting feedback from the other authors.” –Ava Harrison (Author, Through Her Eyes)
